We have already seen the Droid Turbo running Android 5.1 Lollipop in leaked images, but now we have confirmation from Verizon's device test engineer, Jose Arturo who says that the official 5.1 update should reach users by mid June. Jose, however later deleted his Google+ post saying that he got into a bit of trouble for releasing information about the update.

    Screen Size 5.2 inches (1440 x 2560 pixels, 565 ppi)
Camera Back: 21 MP, 1080p@30fps; Front: 2 MP
    Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 805
Memory 32/64 GB, 3 GB RAM
OS Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), planned upgrade to v5.0 (Lollipop)
    Dimension & Weight 143.5 x 73.3 x 8.3 - 11.2 mm, 169 g
    Connectivity LTE
    Battery 3900 mAh

As we have previously told you, the Droid Turbo will be skipping directly to Android 5.1 Lollipop from its current Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The delay in update is being attributed to Verizon's nationwide VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) feature, more tests are needed to see if everything is in order.
