YouTube for Kids is here, with a playful design and age-appropriate content in mind

    Youtube For Kids App

Youtube for Kids is here with a curated list of shows and videos which are age-appropriate for your tiny-tots. Google has said that this is the first product they have designed from the ground-up keeping little ones in mind. It is available for Android and iOS at the moment but would soon be available on Kurio and Nabi tablets for kids.

The new YouTube for Kids app gets a playful and colorful design keeping children in mid allowing them to browse through four sections, namely: shows, music, learning and explore. There's already an extensive list of shows and videos available for children including Mother Goose Club, Talking Tom and Friends, Thomas and Friends, DreamWorks TV and more.

As this is a specific app for Kids, it comes with a number of parental controls built-in. First off you can set a timer to set viewing limits, you can also choose to disable music or sound effects as they begin to get a tad bit - (you know what I mean). Parents can also disable search so that only the videos on the homepage of the YouTube for Kids app can be accessed. YouTube has also built-in a feedback mechanism within the app so as to gather more information as to what parents and children both want out of the special app.
