Redmi 15 5G launching in India on August 19th with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, 7000mAh battery
Xiaomi has announced the launch of its upcoming 5G smartphone, the Redmi 15 in India on August 19th, after teasers. The company has confirmed that the device will be the first phone in its segment to feature a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is designed to retain up to 80% of its health even after four years of use. The battery is said to deliver up to 13.5 hours of standby time in 1% hibernation mode and supports 18W reverse wired charging.
Xiaomi also claims that the Redmi 15 5G will be the slimmest phone equipped with a 7000mAh battery. It will sport a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC. The device will include a 50MP primary rear camera accompanied by a secondary sensor and will be available in Midnight Black, Frosted White, and Sandy Purple.
Previous leaks suggest the phone may also include an 8MP front camera, 33W fast charging, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. In Malaysia, the Redmi 15 5G is expected to be priced at RM 699 (approx. USD 165 / Rs. 14,305) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, with a 6GB + 128GB version likely as well.
Following its launch, the device will be available via Amazon.in, mi.com, and offline retail stores.
