Karbonn has officially launched its new smartphones in the Rebel series, the Karbonn Rebel and Karbonn Rebel Pro 4G in India. The launch marks the brand's return to the competitive budget smartphone segment, focusing on large batteries, high-refresh-rate displays, and a clean Android experience at affordable prices.

Hardware and Display Features

The two smartphones are designed to cater to different usage preferences while sharing several core hardware features.

Karbonn Rebel

Designed with battery life as its primary focus, the standard Karbonn Rebel packs a large 7,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging. A compatible charger is included in the retail box.

The smartphone features a 6.75-inch (17.15 cm) HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 650 nits of peak brightness. An octa-core MediaTek Helio G81 processor powers it and features a 50MP AI primary rear camera housed in a horizontally arranged triangular camera module.

The Karbonn Rebel is available in three color options: Blue, Gold, and Silver.

Karbonn Rebel Pro

The Karbonn Rebel Pro focuses on a smoother display experience and upgraded camera capabilities. It sports a 6.7-inch (17 cm) HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 720 nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor, paired with a 6,000mAh battery and 20W fast charging support. The retail package includes a 20W power adapter and a USB Type-C cable.

For photography, the smartphone features a 64MP AI dual rear camera system arranged in a vertical triple-ring camera module, along with a 16MP front-facing camera.

The Karbonn Rebel Pro comes in four finishes: Cherry Red (Burgundy), Gold, Gray, and Blue.

Karbonn Rebel 5G

Karbonn has also confirmed that the Rebel 5G is in development and will arrive soon as the connectivity-focused flagship of the series. Its complete specifications and pricing will be announced separately.

Software and Update Support

Software is another key highlight of the new Rebel series. Both smartphones run Android 16 with a clean, zero-bloatware experience, without pre-installed third-party applications.

Karbonn has also promised two major Android OS upgrades and two years of regular security updates for the series.

Additional features include Google Gemini AI integration for everyday tasks such as generating captions and handling smart queries. Both devices also retain a 3.5mm headphone jack and feature a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
