Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro launched with 11.2-inch 3.2K 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4/Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship tablet in the Pad 8 series, the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro in China, unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 17 series smartphones. Both tablets come with an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD screen featuring a 3:2 aspect ratio, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light protection. The Soft Light Edition incorporates AG nano-texture with AR coating, reducing reflectivity by up to 70%. They sport a slim full-metal unibody design, measuring just 5.75mm thick and weighing 485g.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pad 8 Pro is equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite, capable of handling gaming, PC-level multitasking, large spreadsheets, and high-resolution video editing. Both house a 9200mAh battery, with the Pad 8 supporting 45W fast charging for up to 9.3 hours of video playback, and the Pad 8 Pro offering 67W fast charging for up to 10.5 hours of playback.
In terms of cameras, the Pad 8 features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, whereas the Pad 8 Pro is fitted with a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera. Both come with a 4-microphone array and AI-powered features such as real-time transcription, voiceprint extraction, and 29-language simultaneous translation. For audio, the lineup includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, with the Pad 8 Pro further enhanced by Harman AudioEFX tuning.
Xiaomi HyperOS 3 -
Both tablets run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, offering an adaptive interface, dynamic widgets, AI-powered wallpapers, split-screen multitasking, and a 9-grid workstation layout. They support PC-grade applications like WPS, CAJViewer, and ZWCAD, along with wireless secondary display functionality, cross-platform file transfers with Apple devices, and the Super Xiao Ai assistant.
The system also includes a desktop-style browser with multi-window and tabbed navigation, picture-in-picture playback, drag-and-drop functionality, and compatibility with extensions.
Accessories -
The Focus Touch Pen Pro comes with a 17.5g balanced weight and ultra-low latency, featuring gesture controls such as squeeze, double-tap, and vertical slide. It also supports hover preview, natural brush flow, and haptic feedback, making it compatible with third-party drawing and editing applications.
The floating keyboard connects magnetically and supports stepless adjustment from 0° to 124°. It is designed with large keycaps, a mechanical press-style touchpad, and a durable, easy-to-clean build.
