Sony A6300 Mirrorless camera arrives in India for Rs. 74990
The latest update to Sony's Alpha line-up of cameras, A6300, is now available in India. Priced at Rs. 74990 the Sony A6300 competes with the likes of the recently launched Canon 80D in the same space.
The Sony A6300 differs from a traditional DSLR as its mirrorless which means faster focusing and faster image capture as well. Moreover, it allows for a more accurate representation (before capture) of what you are going to capture as the sensor is directly exposed to the scene you are trying to capture.
Talking about fast focusing the A6300 is one of the fastest in the world with 425 phase-detection points which cover the entire sensor, then you can also capture 11 frames per second (images) with continuous auto-focus and exposure tracking. Even with live-view on, the Sony A6300 can capture at 8 FPS. But to get those 425 PDAF points to work you would need to use A-mount lenses with SSM or SAM and a Sony LA-EA3 adapter.
Coming to specs, the A6300 gets a new 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and improved BIONZ image processing with an ISO sensitivity range of between 100 - 51200. You can also capture 4K videos with it at 30 fps.
Alongwith 4K recording you get the ability to record 1080p videos at 120FPS and 100 Mbps which is a first for an interchangeable lens camera with a cropped APS-C sensor. For videographers it means smooth, high quality slow motion videos at 1080p natively.
Connectivity options include WiFi, NFC alongwith apps on Android and iOS to make it easier to edit videos/photos on the go. The Sony A6300 has been priced at Rs. 74990 and is now available in India from Sony Center, Alpha flagship stores as well as major electronic stores in India.
