POCO F7 series to be launched on March 27 Globally: POCO F7 Pro & F7 Ultra Key Details Revealed

POCO has officially confirmed the global launch of its latest smartphones in the POCO F7 series at an event in Singapore this March. The company will unveil the POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra, with the promotional image showcasing both devices.

According to earlier reports, the POCO F7 Pro is expected to be a rebranded version of the REDMI K80, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC but with a slightly smaller 6000mAh battery. Similarly, the POCO F7 Ultra is likely a rebranded REDMI K80 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but with a reduced 5300mAh battery for global markets. Both models will retain fast charging capabilities—90W for the F7 Pro and 120W wired + 50W wireless charging for the F7 Ultra.

However, POCO India head Himanshu Tandon recently hinted that the Indian variants might retain the larger battery capacities found in their Chinese counterparts—6550mAh for the K80 (F7 Pro) and 6000mAh for the K80 Pro (F7 Ultra).

Both phones are expected to feature a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The F7 Pro will sport a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS, Xiaomi AISP 2.0, 13.2EV movie-level high dynamic range, a 32MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera with a 10cm macro mode.

The F7 Ultra is likely to feature the same 50MP primary camera with OIS but paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Both models are expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and will be available in 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage configurations.

Additionally, POCO is reportedly working on a standard POCO F7 model powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chip, which is set to launch at a later date. More details should emerge in the coming days.
