MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM OTA update begins next week, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi 1S, Mi 4i to get it first
Xiaomi will be rolling out MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM update to supported devices starting August 23rd. There have been a couple of delays in rolling out a stable build but it's always good to have bugs ironed out before release.
Here is the list of all supported devices getting MIUI 8 stable ROM (global):
- Redmi 1S
- Redmi 2 / Redmi 2 Prime
- Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm
- Redmi Note 3 Special Edition
- Redmi Note 2
- Redmi Note 3G
- Redmi Note 4G
- Redmi Note Prime
- Redmi 3
- Redmi 3S / Prime
- Mi 2/2S
- Mi 3
- Mi 4
- Mi 4i
- Mi 5
- Mi Note
- Mi Max 32GB
Out of these the Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G will get the OTA update on August 23rd with the rest of the supported devices following suit in the coming weeks.
MIUI 8 China Stable ROM will also start rolling out on August 23rd for supported devices, but there is not much details on it. We will be keeping a lookout for the MIUI 8 update coming to the recently launched Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime.
