Huawei president confirms true octa-core Ascend P6S
The Ascend P6 is one of the thinnest and beautifully crafted smart, plagued by a serious hardware issue which instead of performance came into the spotlight due to heating issues. The new Asced P6S has been confirmed to come with world's first commercial true octa-core processor, where each individual core can operate separately.
Till now we have only seen octa-core SoC's where only four processors may work at once, for eg. Samsung's Exynos Octa. However, the new chipset in the Huawei Ascend P6 which will replace the ill fated K3V2 will allow for all cores to work independently and at the same time. Xu Xin Quan, president of Huawei formally announced on Weibo that they will be announcing the updated Ascend P6S soon. However, other than this announcement there is no information on availability or pricing at this time.
