Micromax today announced a new phablet, the Canvas Fantabulet with a huge 6.98-inch HD IPS display which gives it a pretty mediocre pixel density of 210 PPI. It runs on a quad-core MediaTek MT8382W processor, dual-SIM 3G support.

Going forward, all Moto smartphones to launch in 2016 will have a fingerprint sensor. It was confirmed by Chen Xudong, SVP Lenovo and president of Lenovo China & Asia Pacific. Fingerprint sensors have become a common feature on flagship devices.

Coolpad India has begun sending out media invites for an event in New Delhi on January 15th. The invite reads "Small Is The New Big", which indicates that we may see specs similar to the Coolpad Note 3 in smaller body, with a 5-inch display

A couple of alleged images of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone have surfaced online. The images were uploaded by a Weibo user and have since then been taken down. If this is indeed the Xiaomi Mi5, well, it looks quite ugly.
