Snapdragon X Elite Partnership with leading PC OEMs, and collaborated with multiple companies for software and hardware

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon X Elite, their newest 4nm System-on-a-Chip, featuring a 12-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU and an integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU for PCs last day. The company also revealed that PCs equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor will hit the market by mid-2024.

Today, Qualcomm announced the collaboration with multiple PC OEM partners who will be incorporating the Snapdragon X Elite chip into their laptops. These partners include HP, Acer, ASUS, Dell, HONOR, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, Samsung, and Xiaomi.

Lenovo has expressed plans to introduce high-end laptops powered by the Snapdragon X Elite. Yang Yuanqing, Chairman & CEO, of Lenovo, said "Our consumers and commercial customers will be able to utilize this powerful performance, long battery life, and on-device generative AI to enjoy the best experience and achieve the highest productivity. Together, Lenovo and Qualcomm Technologies will bring our users the next generation of AI experiences".

According to Qualcomm, it has collaborated with multiple companies to fine-tune the Snapdragon X Elite for their software and hardware requirements.

BlackMagic Design has also announced its plans to release Davinci Resolve for ARM-based Windows devices in 2024. The company emphasized its collaboration with Qualcomm to optimize Davinci Resolve for the Snapdragon X Elite.

Reportedly, Davinci Resolve's Magic Mask operates 1.7 times faster on the Snapdragon X Elite compared to a premium 12-core processor with an integrated GPU on Windows. Furthermore, the performance is purportedly 3 times faster on the Snapdragon X Elite when utilizing the NPU, as stated by the company.
