Oppo Find X7 Pro will feature Sony 50MP 1-inch Lytia LYT-900 sensor and satellite connectivity

Sony and Oppo unveiled a strategic partnership, announcing that upcoming Oppo flagship smartphones would incorporate Sony's innovative Lytia dual-layer stacked CMOS sensors in September. The latest teaser from Sony Lytia's Weibo account hints at the imminent debut of the Lytia LYT-900 imaging sensor on the Find X7 Pro.

Sony introduced the LYT-900 sensor in June, featuring a 50MP 1-inch type stacked CMOS sensor with 1.6μ pixels. The novel stacked design separates the transistors and photodiode layers, allowing for larger diodes, increased light capture, and improved low-light performance. Oppo has previously outlined details about its next-gen camera system, the Hasselblad HyperTone, which includes four camera sensors, Hasselblad color calibration, and an industry-leading zoom lens.

Rumors surrounding the Find X7 Pro suggest it will launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, up to 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, and satellite connectivity. The lineup will also include the standard Find X7, equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chipset and boasting 100W charging capabilities.
