Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 launched with 6.86-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO foldable and 4.01-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED outer displays, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
Xiaomi has officially launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 in China, bringing significant upgrades in design, hardware, display, camera system, and AI capabilities compared to its predecessor. The MIX Flip 2 boasts a triple-curve foldable AMOLED display that offers a seamless feel when opened and a smooth look when closed. Its frosted metal frame enhances grip and resists fingerprints.
The phone measures 73.8mm in width, 7.57mm in thickness when unfolded, and weighs 199 grams. A redesigned “three-link, four-floating plate” hinge doubles structural strength, increases drop resistance by 20%, and improves impact protection by 30%. It is certified for 200,000 folds by both CQC and SGS. Optional accessories include a rotating mirror case and a cross-body strap, sold separately.
Dual AMOLED Displays -
Outer Screen - The 4.01-inch outer AMOLED display features a 1.5K resolution, smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness reaching 3200 nits. It supports over 500 apps in a 16:9 layout, offering message previews, real-time editing, QR code scanning, AI noise-reduced voice calls, and a full-width keyboard.
Enhanced Features - A new Standby Mode activates Super Xiao Ai, Xiaomi’s AI assistant, enabling voice navigation and smart car connectivity. Users can customize the Always-on Display with animated pets or create personalized lock screens using pet photos.
Inner Screen - The 6.86-inch foldable AMOLED inner display delivers a 1.5K resolution, a dynamic refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz, and peak brightness up to 3200 nits. It’s certified for low blue light and flicker-free use. Both displays support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, wet-touch input, and vibrant color reproduction.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the MIX Flip 2 comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its upgraded dual vapor chamber cooling system improves heat dissipation. The 5165mAh battery features high-silicon technology for enhanced energy density and supports 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
Xiaomi’s Starlight wireless system employs dual-core chips and AI optimization to strengthen signal and extend connectivity range. The phone supports dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an IR blaster. Audio is delivered via dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Camera System -
Co-engineered with Leica, the MIX Flip 2 includes:
- A 50MP main OV50E sensor (1/1.55-inch) paired with a 23mm f/1.7 Leica Summilux lens and OIS.
- A 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 14mm focal length, f/2.2 aperture, 115° field of view, and 5cm macro focusing capability.
- A 32MP front camera capable of 4K video recording.
Camera software enhancements feature improved low-light noise reduction, superior portrait quality, and Leica-style filters. When folded, the device doubles as a DV camcorder or action camera with free-angle shooting ranging from 45° to 120°.
Videos can be converted into dynamic photos and shared seamlessly with iPhones. A dedicated photo kit (sold separately) offers a shutter button and uses advanced thermal dye-sublimation printing for long-lasting color prints.
HyperOS 2 & Ecosystem Integration -
Running on HyperOS 2, the MIX Flip 2 offers deep integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem, allowing users to:
- Livestream directly to the Xiaomi YU7 car infotainment system
- Control Xiaomi vehicles via the outer display

The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 comes in White, Purple, Green, and Checkered Gold Variants. It is now available in China through Xiaomi’s official and partner stores.
