Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 launching in India on September 21, we may also see the Mi Band 2 make an appearance
Xiaomi is bringing its Mi Ecosystem product to India on September 21. Although the invite doesn't say exactly which product is launching, given the recent tweets from Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain, we can safely say it's the new Mi Air Purifier 2.
We also expect the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 to make an appearance at the health focused event. Even if its not launched, we expect to hear a timeline on its availability. There will be a YouTube livestream of the launch event as well starting at 12 noon which you can catch here.
Coming back to Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2, it's quite a small unit measuring in at 520mm in height and 240mm in width. So, it can easily fit in any corner of your house without taking too much space. You can check all details regarding particulate density in your house/office with an app and also control the Air Purifier remotely. It has a built-in WiFi module which connects to your home or office WiFi network.
It has the capacity to pump out 10000 litres of clean air at 338 m3/h in active mode. Xiaomi has also said that their new air purifier comes with a 3 layer filter capable of removing 99.99% of harmful PM2.5 particles.In has an internal pressurization chamber which uses axial fans a brushless motor for quieter performance. According to the company this is 11% quieter than before and 58% more power efficient.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 was launched in China for 699 Yuan which translates to about Rs. 7000 in India. Let's see what price it comes up to after all the taxes and custom duties.
