Oppo A59s gets seen with 16MP front-facing camera, 4GB RAM should launch soon
Oppo may be gearing up to launch the updated Oppo A59s smartphone with a 16MP front-facing camera and 4GB RAM.
The Oppo A59s has just been certified by TENNA in China which revealed some more specs including a 5.5-inch 720p HD display with 2.5D curved glass, running on a 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage. But the highlight would be the 16MP front facing camera.
A 13MP camera can also be found at the back with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture lens. Sadly, the phone still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop which is now two major releases behind.
In the front you will also get a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button, we are seeing a gradual movement to front facing fingerprint sensors for most new smartphones, which I do believe is a good trend. It simply makes more sense that way.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G support with VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The battery size has been reduced a bit to 2980 mAh but the phone is still quite svelte at 7.4mm weighing at 160 grams. Similar dimensions as before. The Oppo A59s is expected to launch in China soon.
