Xiaomi HyperOS 3 to be launched on August 28th with Early Beta for Select Devices

Xiaomi has officially announced that it will unveil HyperOS 3.0, its next major software update for smartphones, at an event in China on August 28th, arriving nearly two months earlier than its usual release cycle.

Commenting on the update, Lu Weibing — Xiaomi Group Partner, President, President of the Mobile Phone Division, and General Manager of the Xiaomi brand — said:

“Xiaomi Surge OS 3 marks a new beginning. Our goal is to make the system truly smooth, offering users a responsive, natural, and seamless experience. At the same time, functionality must remain simple and intuitive, ensuring both ease of use and satisfaction.”

The company has also opened Beta recruitment for HyperOS 3.0 across select smartphones and tablets in China, including:

• Smartphones - Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 15S Pro, Xiaomi Mi 15/Pro, Redmi K80 Pro/Ultimate Edition
• Tablets - Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5, Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro

Lu Weibing further noted that the release of Surge OS 3 is both a milestone and a new starting point, emphasizing Xiaomi’s commitment to continuously refining the user experience through feedback and improvements.
