It will also support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Earlier reports indicated that the S50 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, marking a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 used in the S30. Both phones will feature a second-generation 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, making the S50 series the first in its segment to offer this technology across its entire lineup. The S50 Pro mini will feature a 6.31-inch 120Hz OLED display, while the S50 will come with a slightly larger 6.59-inch 120Hz OLED screen.

For imaging, the entire vivo S50 series is equipped with a Sony IMX882 1/1.95″ sensor paired with a periscope lens. The S50 Pro mini also includes a VCS ultra-sensitive bionic large-sensor main camera. On the front, both phones feature a 50MP anti-distortion soft-light selfie camera with the same full-focal-length zoom flash technology used in vivo’s flagship models. The series also carries over the flagship-grade natural portrait algorithm, designed to preserve facial details without excessive AI processing.

In terms of design, the vivo S50 Pro mini sports a horizontal rear camera module, while the standard S50 features a rectangular layout. All models come with an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and a new satin lithography finish. The S50 will be available in Space Gray, White, and Purple, while the S50 Pro mini adds a Blue variant to the same color options.
