Sony Expands BRAVIA Theatre Lineup in India with Trio, Bar 7, Bar 5, Sub 9, Sub 8, Rear 9 and Rear 8

Sony has expanded its BRAVIA Theatre lineup in India with the introduction of the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8, BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9, and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 8. The new range is designed to bring a cinema-inspired audio experience into the home through advanced spatial audio technologies and flexible multi-speaker configurations.

By combining Sony’s proprietary sound innovations with immersive audio formats, the new BRAVIA Theatre ecosystem aims to recreate expansive soundscapes while preserving the audio experience envisioned by content creators.

BRAVIA Theatre Trio

Positioned as Sony’s flagship wireless home theatre solution, the BRAVIA Theatre Trio is designed for large-screen televisions and features dedicated left, center, and right speakers instead of a traditional soundbar. This configuration helps create a wider soundstage and delivers enhanced dialogue clarity.

The system supports Dolby Atmos® and DTS® audio formats and seamlessly integrates with compatible BRAVIA televisions. When paired with the BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9 and Rear 9 speakers, the system can generate up to 24 virtual phantom speakers for an even more immersive surround sound experience.

The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 utilizes Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology to create a broader and more immersive audio environment through virtual phantom speakers. The soundbar also incorporates Sound Field Optimization, Dolby Atmos®, and IMAX Enhanced support.

Its nine-speaker configuration includes up-firing and side-firing drivers, along with four passive radiators, enabling enhanced surround effects and vertical sound positioning for movies, sports, and gaming content.

Sony has introduced BRAVIA Connect as a centralized platform for configuring, controlling, and managing compatible BRAVIA Theatre products, including soundbars, subwoofers, and rear speakers. Through the companion app, users can handle device pairing, setup, and system management with ease.

Complementing this ecosystem is BRAVIA Direct Connect, which allows select BRAVIA televisions to connect directly with compatible subwoofers and rear speakers without requiring a soundbar as an intermediary.

Pricing and Availability

The BRAVIA Theatre Trio, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 8 and Rear 9 will be available starting 1 July 2026 through Sony Centre, Sony Exclusive stores, Amazon, and other authorized retail channels.

The BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9 and Sub 8 will be available from 3 August 2026, while the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 is scheduled to launch on 18 August 2026.
