Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Surfaced Online Revealing rotating bezel, new design
Samsung is gearing up to unveil its upcoming smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 8 series. Ahead of the official launch, leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, shared by SammyGuru and OnLeaks, offer an early glimpse at what to expect in terms of design and features.
Design and Display -
The renders indicate that the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will receive a significant design refresh. It features a 1.5-inch display and measures approximately 46 x 46.5 x 14.2mm. The watch appears to adopt a squircle-shaped design, reminiscent of the Watch Ultra, possibly positioning it as a successor.
Battery and Variants -
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to debut in a single 47mm size and pack a 435mAh rated battery—likely delivering a typical capacity of around 450mAh. The signature rotating bezel from previous models is reportedly returning, contributing to the slightly smaller battery compared to the Watch 5 Pro or Ultra.
Two variants are expected: a Bluetooth-only model (SM-L500) and an LTE version (SM-L505). The slight bump in battery capacity over the Watch 6 Classic’s 425mAh should offer marginally improved endurance.
Launch Timeline -
Samsung is likely to officially announce the Galaxy Watch 8 series during its July Unpacked event, which may also feature the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. While the details are based on CAD renders and regulatory filings, they remain unofficial until confirmed by Samsung.
