Samsung Galaxy S5 with 5.1-inch QHD display, 225 Mbps LTE-A, Snapdragon 805 goes official
Samsung has gone official with the Galaxy S5 LTE-A in Korea featuring support for the faster 225 Mbps LTE-A networks, 5.1-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display, quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. There's 3 GB RAM onboard while the original Galaxy S5 had 2 GB. Cameras remain the same at 16 MP rear with flash and a 2.1 MP front-facing unit. There's 32 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB. Connectivity options include the new 4G LTE-A standard, 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n/ac 2x2 MIMO antenna, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS with GLONASS support. You also get the same 2800 mAh battery powering the new Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A.
The new Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A also comes with IP67 rated dust and water resistance, fingerprint scanner and a heart rate monitor. It will be available on SK Telecom initially in Shimmery White, Charcoal Black, Copper Gold, Electric Blue and an exclusive Glam Red color on the carrier. The Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A has been priced at 940,500 Won (about $919/ Rs. 55,311).
