Is Samsung working on another Galaxy Grand Prime for 2016?
The original Galaxy Grand Prime was launched way back in 2014 with a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display with a quad-core processor and 1.5GB RAM. It was a huge hit back then and Samsung may be trying to capture the same segment with a 5-inch Galaxy Grand Prime (2016).
According to import/export tracker Zauba 8 units of SM-G532F have been imported to India for testing, the original Galaxy Grand Prime had the model number G531, which is a good indication that we have its successor being tested here.
At present there is no word on specs, pricing or availability of the Grand Prime (2016). There's one thing though, the market is already crowded with so many Samsung offers from the J series and On series, the Grand Prime just doesn't fit in any price bracket. But from what we could gather it should sit somewhere above the Galaxy On7 and below the Galaxy J7 (2016).
