Redmi A5 launched in India starting at Rs. 6499 with 6.88-inch 120Hz display, 5200mAh battery
Xiaomi has officially launched its latest budget-friendly 4G smartphone, the Redmi A5 in India, as previously announced. It features a large 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and an 8MP front camera housed within the notch. Under the hood, it runs on the Unisoc T7250 Octa-Core processor, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM.
On the back, the Redmi A5 sports a 32MP primary camera along with a secondary sensor. The phone boasts a modern design with a flat frame and an upgraded camera module encased in a metallic-look finish. It comes preloaded with Android 15 and is promised to receive two major Android updates and four years of security patches.
The Redmi A5 is available in Pondicherry Blue and Just Black with a matte, smudge-resistant texture, as well as Lake Green and Pondicherry Blue variants featuring veined patterns inspired by gentle water ripples. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5200mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
