Realme Showcases 15,000mAh Battery Phone and World’s First “AC” Chill Fan Phone with Thermoelectric Cooling
Realme officially showcased its new smartphone with a massive 15,000mAh battery during the 828 Fan Festival 2025 online event, after a series of teasers. According to the company, the phone is 42% slimmer at just 8.89mm and 68% lighter compared to a power bank of the same capacity.
realme explained that it achieved this breakthrough using new battery materials, higher energy density, and advanced packaging technology, enabling such a large battery to fit into a slim smartphone body.
Battery innovation steps highlighted by realme -
- Step 1: First-ever all-silicon content anode battery with 25% silicon content
- Step 2: Industry-leading energy density of 1200Wh/L
- Step 3: Slimmer packaging, with the mainboard reduced to a world-record 23.4mm and the battery laminated down to 6.48mm thickness, resulting in the phone’s 8.89mm slim profile
The company claims the 15,000mAh battery provides -
- Up to 18.45 hours of continuous video recording
- Up to 30 hours of gaming
- Up to 50 hours of video playback
- A single charge lasting up to 5.18 days of normal use or up to 3 months of standby in airplane mode
On the hardware front, the phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. These specifications are similar to the 10,000mAh concept phone that realme showcased earlier this year. The teaser also confirmed support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
Realme Chill Fan Phone -
realme has also unveiled the Chill Fan Phone, which it dubs the world’s first “AC phone.” Alongside its 7,700mm² VC cooling system and fan-based heat dissipation, the device incorporates TEC (Thermoelectric Cooling). According to realme, the tiny semiconductor used can lower the core temperature by 6ºC, delivering 2–3 times better cooling compared to traditional VC solutions.
The phone also features an IceSense Ultra back design, which shifts from white to blue as the temperature drops from 45ºC to 38ºC. In testing with a popular anime strategy game running at full FPS, realme reported up to a 6.2ºC reduction in device temperature.
While mass production details for the Chill Fan Phone remain unclear, realme hinted that although the 15,000mAh battery phone might still be some way off, the 10,000mAh battery phone is expected to launch in the market as early as 2026, based on earlier reports.
