Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi 5 Android smartphone in India. It was announced back in December in China, packing a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) 18:9 full-screen display running on the Snapdragon 450 processor with up to 3GB RAM onboard.

Xiaomi is planning to launch a new smartphone on March 14. The company teased the smartphone at its Mi TV 4A launch. Although only the side profile of the device was shown, speculation is ripe that it will be the Redmi 5.

HTC had already rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship HTC U11, and HTC 10 smarthones. Now, the company is rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the U Ultra.

Xiaomi today expanded its smart TV line-up in India with the Mi TV 4a series. There are two models to choose from, 32-inch (HD) and 43-inch (Full-HD). Both are AndroidOS based Smart TVs with Xiaomi's own PatchWall UI.

Samsung today launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at an event held in New Delhi, India. Both phones were announced last week at Mobile World Congress and have variable aperture cameras, first on an Android smartphone.

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 5.0.4 OTA update for the OnePlus 5 which fixes some of the issues created by the previous Oreo update.

Amazon has launched Prime Music in India and its free for Prime customers. It was introduced last year for Echo devices. It is available for Android, iOS and also the web through music.amazon.in.

HMD Global had already announced an upgrade to last year's Nokia 6 in China. Now we have yet another variant of the same phone here at MWC 2018, though its now part of the Android One project.
