OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra Edition to be launched on May 27 along with OnePlus Buds 4
OnePlus has officially announced the launch of its latest smartphones in the Ace 5 series, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra Edition in China on May 27, after a series of teasers. The company previously revealed that the Racing Edition will debut as the first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition -
OnePlus has now confirmed that the Ace 5 Ultra Edition will feature the industry’s first full-link, chip-level gaming hardware solution. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor paired with the Fengchi gaming core, promising zero frame drops, a Lingxi touch chip for uninterrupted touch response, and a G1 Gaming Wi-Fi chip designed to prevent disconnections.
The device will be available in Phantom Black, Breeze Blue, and Titanium Gold color options, with the following memory configurations - 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB storage.
OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition -
The Racing Edition will launch in Rock Black, White, and Wilderness Green, with storage variants including - 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB storage.
It is expected to feature a 6.77-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Both models are shown to sport a plastic frame based on early visuals.
OnePlus Buds 4 Also Launching -
OnePlus has also confirmed the debut of the OnePlus Buds 4 true wireless earbuds at the same event. The company touts them as flagship-grade in terms of noise cancellation, design, and sound quality.
The Buds 4 will feature a frosted metallic finish, dual DAC audio architecture (first seen in the OnePlus Buds Pro 3), and will be available in Space Gray and Pine Shadow Green. More details about the devices are expected to emerge ahead of their official unveiling next week.
