Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro launched in India Starting from Rs.24,999 with 6.77-inch FHD+ 120Hz flexible AMOLED display, 50MP Periscope Telephoto Camera

Nothing has officially launched its latest mid-range 5G Smartphones in the Phone (3a) series,  the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro in India, the successor to last year’s Phone (2a) series, As promised. Both feature a larger 6.77-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 3000 nits peak brightness. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for improved performance.

Software & Glyph Interface -

The smartphones run on Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.1, and Nothing guarantees three major Android OS updates along with six years of security patches, similar to its previous models. The Glyph Interface remains, now featuring three separations and 26 addressable LED lighting zones, which can be used for volume control, timers, Uber & Zomato notifications, and more.

Nothing has switched from a polycarbonate back to a glass back, giving the phones a more premium feel. Both models now come with an IP64 rating, making them resistant to dust and splashes.

New Essential Key & AI-Powered Features -

A new Essential Key, positioned below the power button, introduces Essential Space, an AI-powered hub for capturing notes, ideas, and inspirations. Users can:

• Press the Essential Key to save and send content to Essential Space.
• Long-press to record a voice note.
• Double-tap to access all saved content instantly.

Camera Upgrades & Telephoto Lens Addition -

For the first time, Nothing has introduced a telephoto camera in its smartphones. Both models feature a 50MP Samsung main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

• The Phone (3a) includes a 50MP 2x telephoto camera with a 25cm telemacro option.
• The Phone (3a) Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor for a 3x periscope telephoto lens, featuring 6x in-sensor lossless zoom, 60x ultra zoom, and a 15cm telemacro mode.

On the front, the Phone (3a) sports a 32MP selfie camera, while the Phone (3a) Pro boasts a 50MP front camera for high-resolution selfies and video calls.

Battery & Charging -

Both models are equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 50W PD charging. The phones can charge up to 50% in just 19 minutes and reach a full charge in 56 minutes. However, they do not support wireless charging. The company claims the battery can retain over 90% of its capacity after 1,200 charging cycles, equivalent to over 3 years and 4 months of daily charging.

The Nothing Phone (3a) comes in Black, White and Blue colours, and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro comes in Black and Grey colours. The device will be available on Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes starting March 11. Sales and deliveries through Vijay Sales, Croma, and other leading retail stores will begin on March 15.
