Apple launched new iPad Air, Starting at Rs.59,900 in India with 11/13-inch Liquid Retina Display, M3 chip
Apple has launched its new iPad Air (7th Gen) in India at its online event, succeeding last year’s M2 model. It retains the 11-inch and 13-inch Liquid Retina display variants, along with the integrated Touch ID sensor in the top button. However, it now features the Apple M3 chip, replacing the previous M2, and comes equipped with an 8-core CPU and a 9-core GPU.
The M3 chip delivers up to 35% faster CPU performance for multithreaded tasks and up to 40% improved graphics performance compared to the M1. For the first time, the iPad Air supports dynamic caching, hardware-accelerated mesh shading, and ray tracing. According to Apple, the M3-powered iPad Air provides up to four times faster performance than the M1 version for graphics-intensive rendering workflows, enabling more realistic lighting, reflections, shadows, and an immersive gaming experience.
New Magic Keyboard for iPad Air -
The latest Magic Keyboard features a larger built-in trackpad for enhanced precision in detail-oriented tasks. Additionally, a new 14-key function row allows quick access to controls such as screen brightness and volume.
Attaching magnetically, the Magic Keyboard connects instantly via the Smart Connector, eliminating the need for Bluetooth. Its machined aluminum hinge also includes a USB-C port for charging. Notably, this new model is more affordable than its predecessor.

The new iPad Air is available in blue, purple, starlight, and space grey colours, and the pre-orders have started on apple.com/store, and in the Apple Store app in 29 countries and regions, including India. It will be available from Wednesday, March 12th on Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers.
