Motorola Moto G is now available in the US starting at $179 off contract

Motorola took the world by storm, when it announced the Moto G with a 4.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM for just $179 for the 8 GB variant. Its a surprisingly capable and well built device especially at an unlocked price of less than two benjamins. The Moto G is now available in the US starting today, which is way early than the January deadline that was announced earlier. You can pre-order the device for an off-contract price of $179 for 8 GB and $199 for the 16 GB variant. The device ships December 2nd. The phone would ship with Android 4.3, with a guaranteed update to Android 4.4 KitKat and early future updates as well.

Only the GSM version is available in the US, CDMA variant is expected in January. At present the Moto X is on sale in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Germany, France, Canada and the UK. The phone will also make its way to India, however in January and it will be the dual-SIM variant.
