Micromax 7-inch budget tablets Funbook P365 and P256 now available.
Micromax Funbook P365 and Funbook P256 are now available online. Both tablets feature 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) displays, which is truly pedestrian to say the least. The Funbook P365 is the higher spec'd one with a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU alongwith 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage whic is expandable upto 32 GB. The cheaper Funbook P256 makes do with a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with just 512 MB RAM but 4 GB internal storage which too is expandable. Another reason apart from low RAM and slower processor why the Funbook P256 should be out of contention is that it runs Android 4.0.4 ICS while the P365 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Funbook P365 has a 2G SIM card slot and supports voice calling while the Funbook P256 does not. Both support 3G via dongle (to be purchased separately). Funbook P365 has a 2MP / 0.3 MP camera combination but strangely the cheaper P256 has better resolution cameras at 3 MP primary and 1.3 MP front facing. Same thing happens when we look at the battery as well, the costlier P365 has a 2800 mAh battery while the P256 has a 3000 mAh battery. Both certainly in-adequate for long time use.
Micromax Funbook P365 has been priced at Rs. 6,990 and Funbook P256 Rs. 4,692. Both will be available in Silver color only.
