Lenovo Vibe K5 launching in India this month, priced under the K5 Plus
Lenovo is all set to launch the Vibe K5 in India later this month. It was launched back at MWC 2016 alongwith the Vibe K5 Plus, both of which feature metal construction and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
With a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, the Vibe K5 is the successor to the hugely popular Lenovo A6000 which was the best economy smartphone of 2015 and made Lenovo one of the leaders in the 4G smartphone space in India.
Coming to the rest of the specs, the Vibe K5 runs on the Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in a 2750 mAh battery under its 8.2mm metallic shell and weighs in at about 142 grams. You can find a 13MP rear camera here capable of recording 1080p videos alongwith a 5MP front-facing selfie camera. The Vibe K5 shares the same design as the Vibe K5 Plus, which means it is as sturdy and would feel good to hold in hand.
Given that there are very few good 5-inch smartphones in the price bracket of Rs. 7000- Rs. 8000, the Vibe K5 has a chance to create a dent in the market. We will be keeping a lookout for the launch of the Vibe K5 in India, till then you can watch our review of the Vibe K5 Plus to get an idea about the design/build of the device.
