Lava Blaze Duo 3 launched in India for Rs. 16,999 with 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz and 1.6-inch Rear AMOLED displays

Lava has launched a new smartphone in the Duo series, the Lava Blaze Duo 3 in India, the company claims is India’s first dual-screen phone in this price segment, featuring a secondary AMOLED display on the rear panel.

Dual-Display Setup -

The standout feature of the Blaze Duo 3 is its 1.6-inch AMOLED rear display, which is designed to offer quick access to key functions without unlocking the phone. Users can check notifications, control music playback, and view custom animations directly on the secondary screen. It also doubles as a viewfinder, enabling users to capture high-quality selfies using the primary rear camera.

On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for both media consumption and gaming.

Performance and Hardware -

Powering the Blaze Duo 3 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset, clocked at up to 2.6GHz. The phone comes with a combined memory setup of 6GB physical LPDDR5 RAM plus 6GB virtual RAM for improved multitasking, along with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Cameras -

In the camera department, the device features a dual rear camera system led by a 50MP AI primary sensor using the Sony IMX752, along with an 8MP front-facing camera.

Thanks to the rear AMOLED screen, users can use the 50MP main camera for selfies, which should result in better image quality compared to a typical front camera.

Battery, Design, and Software -

The Blaze Duo 3 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone sports a slim 7.55mm profile and is available in Moonlight Black and Imperial Gold colour options.

On the software side, the Blaze Duo 3 runs a clean version of Android 15. Lava has promised one major Android OS update (Android 16) and two years of security updates. The company also highlights a bloatware-free experience, with no ads or unwanted notifications.
