Apple CEO Tim Cook announced Launch Event on February 19 Globally; Expected to launch iPhone SE 4

Apple iPhone SE 4 launch teaser global.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has officially announced that the newest addition to the Apple lineup will launch on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, using the hashtag #Applelaunch, after weeks of speculation. However, the exact launch time remains undisclosed. This upcoming device is expected to be the new iPhone SE (2025), which was initially rumoured to debut earlier this week.

The original iPhone SE was unveiled at an event in 2016, while the SE 2 and SE 3 models were introduced through press releases with little fanfare. Surprisingly, Apple is now teasing the launch of its fourth-generation SE model, hinting at a more prominent reveal.

Since the announcement refers to an "Apple launch" rather than an event, it's likely that Apple will release a video showcasing the new iPhone SE's features alongside an official press release. According to earlier reports, the phone is expected to be available for purchase a week later, on Friday, February 28.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to feature a 6.1-inch OLED 460ppi Super Retina XDR display, similar to the iPhone 14. It is expected to be powered by the latest A18 chip and 8GB of RAM from the iPhone 16 series, with support for Apple Intelligence. Notably, it may also be the first iPhone to use Apple’s in-house modem instead of Qualcomm’s.

For photography, the iPhone SE 4 is said to include a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera, borrowed from the iPhone 15, but will reportedly forgo an ultra-wide camera.
