Nothing Phone (3a) Series to Feature Snapdragon SoC and New Telephoto Camera
Nothing has officially confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3a) series will feature a Snapdragon SoC, departing from the MediaTek Dimensity SoCs used in the Nothing Phone (2a) series.
Addressing this, Nothing CEO Carl Pei stated that the Phone (3a) with the Snapdragon chip delivers a 25% boost in CPU performance and a 72% faster NPU compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro SoC found in the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus.
While the company has yet to officially disclose details about the Snapdragon chip, earlier rumors suggest that the devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, Nothing recently shared a teaser video showcasing the zoom capabilities of the Phone (3a), hinting at the inclusion of a telephoto camera.
Earlier this week, the company announced that the Phone (3a) series will be manufactured in India. It also revealed the phone’s transparent design and previously shared an official teaser image, highlighting the familiar white Glyph lighting and a larger camera bar housing a triple-camera setup.
The Nothing Phone (3a) is set to launch on March 4th and will be available on Flipkart, with more details expected in the coming weeks.
