HP's Star Wars Special Edition Notebook just went official in India priced at Rs. 73,000

    HP has launched a new Notebook in partnership with Lucas Film. The Star Wars Special Edition Notebook is inspired by the Galactic Empire with a battle-torn design, matte painted surfaces showing storm trooper on the inside and Darth Vader at the top.

    There are a lot of design elements which reflect clear nerdiness from HP. Right from the Red backlit keyboard, X-Wing guidance system inspired Touchpad design, Star Wars Aurebesh font on the hinge. The Special Edition Notebook will come with previously unseen footage from the making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie including design and architecture documents to geek out.

    It will come in a special box, and you'll get a free Star Wars themes mouse and laptop sleeve as well. The HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook starts at Rs. 73,000 and has the specs to justify it. You are getting as 15.6-inch 1080p display here with an option of upgrading to a touch-screen, Intel Core i5 6200U 5th-gen processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics card, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA storage and Windows 10 running the show.

    Connectivity options aren't limited either. You have WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB 2.0 port and one each of VGA, HDMI and RJ45 LAN ports. There is a card reader built-in as well alongwith a Super Multi DVD drive. The Notebook it a bit hefty and weighs in at about 2.29 Kgs but is relatively thin at less than 1-inch thickness. It has a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery inside.

    It will be available through HP exclusive stores and authorized retailers starting November 20th.
