Google wins against Oracle for use of Java in Android
Jury has ruled in favor of Google for use of Java APIs in Android.
Oracle and Google have been in a legal tussle over use of Java in Android, and finally the jury decided that Google's use of Java falls under the fair use clause.
Oracle had first filed the lawsuit in 2010 claiming Google was violating its patents. In 2012 , Judge William Alsup of the US District Court of Northern California ruled in favor of Google after a three week trial but the decision was later upturned by a Federal Circuit Appeals court in 2014.
After the back and forth, this seems like the end of the battle between Google and Oracle, atleast for now.
