CMF Phone 2 Pro launching in India on April 28th with Dimensity 7300 Pro SoC, ultra-sleek design
Nothing has officially confirmed the launch of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, its second CMF-branded smartphone, scheduled for April 28th. Today, the company announced that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset.
While the CMF Phone 1 featured the standard Dimensity 7300, the Phone 2 Pro was initially rumored to use the Dimensity 7400. However, Nothing opted for the upgraded Pro variant of the 7300 instead.
According to the company, the Dimensity 7300 Pro offers a 10% boost in CPU performance and a 5% increase in GPU performance over the Dimensity 7300. It also features a 6th-generation NPU delivering 4.8 TOPS AI performance, 120fps gaming in BGMI, 53% improved network performance, and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate.
Earlier this week, Nothing teased the phone’s display, showcasing the bezel size. However, the size of the bottom bezel has yet to be disclosed. Akis Evangelidis, Nothing’s co-founder and President of the India division, recently confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will include a charger in the box.
The company also highlighted the phone’s ultra-slim, ultra-light, and ultra-sleek design in recent teasers. Another teaser showcased a close-up of the phone’s textured, tactile finish, revealing a sleek metallic corner with a visible screw—hinting at the modular, customizable design CMF is known for, similar to the CMF Phone 1.
According to previous leaks, the Phone 2 Pro will retain features like the customizable back panel and screw mount for lanyards or accessories. The display is rumoured to measure around 6.3 inches, slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch screen found on Phone (1).
More details are expected to surface in the coming days, leading up to the official launch later this month, and purchase via Flipkart.
