Asus ROG Phone 8 Ultimate launching Soon Globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 24GB RAM, 65W Fast Charging
Asus is preparing to unveil the eighth iteration of its ROG Phone series, and the company has officially teased the upcoming device. The ROG Phone 8 showcases a new rear design featuring a pentagon-shaped camera island housing three camera sensors and an LED flash. Notably, a side-mounted USB-C port, akin to the previous year's ROG Phone 7 series, is also evident.
The ROG Phone 8 Ultimate has already made its appearance on the Geekbench listing with model number ASUS_AI2401_D, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and an impressive 24GB of RAM. In the testing phase, the device demonstrated noteworthy performance, achieving 2,235 points in the single-core test and 7,098 points in the multi-core test, aligning closely with the figures shared by Qualcomm.
The Geekbench listing also verifies that the ROG Phone 8 will run on Android 14, presumably featuring Asus's ROG UI. As more details continue to emerge, additional specifications and renders will likely become available in the upcoming weeks.
Further, the phone has obtained certification for 65W charging from China's 3C agency. Anticipated for an early 2024 launch, the ROG Phone 8 series is expected to include a standard Phone 8 model alongside a Phone 8 Pro.
