Apple Watch Series 11 launched; India price starts at Rs. 46,900 with Hypertension Notifications, Sleep Score, Enhanced Durability
Apple launched its premium smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 11, alongside the entry-level Watch SE 3. The new model introduces two notable health features — Hypertension Notifications and Sleep Score — along with up to 24 hours of battery life, a more durable glass cover, and other enhancements.
The Apple Watch Series 11 is designed as a comprehensive health and fitness companion. It alerts users to potential signs of chronic high blood pressure (hypertension) and provides new insights into sleep quality through its Sleep Score, complementing the device’s extensive suite of health features.
Hypertension Notifications -
Using data from the optical heart sensor, the Watch Series 11 analyzes how blood vessels respond to each heartbeat. Running passively in the background, the algorithm reviews data over 30-day periods and notifies users if consistent signs of hypertension are detected.
The Sleep Score gives an overall assessment of sleep quality, factoring in sleep duration, bedtime consistency, number of awakenings, and time spent in each sleep stage.
Durable Glass and Design -
The Watch Series 11 continues to offer aluminum and titanium models. Aluminum versions feature Ion-X glass with a new Apple-designed ceramic coating, providing 2x scratch resistance. Cellular hardware has also been upgraded with a 5G modem and redesigned antenna system for faster speeds and improved reception.
Other specifications and health-tracking features remain similar to previous models but run on watchOS 26, which introduces the “Liquid Glass” design, new watch faces such as Flow and Exactograph, and additional apps like Notes.
