Amazon Fire Phone to be an AT&T exclusive available for $199.99 starting July 25th
AT&T will be exclusively selling the Amazon Fire Phone for $199.99 with a 2-year contract starting July 25th. This is for the base 32 GB model, you can also get the 64 GB model for $299 also on contract. The Amazon Fire Phone 32 GB will cost $649 off-contract and $749 for the 64 GB model.
You can pre-order the Fire Phone from Amazon.com and you will also get 12 months Amazon Prime subscription free, which costs about $99 a year. There are many new features making the Fire Phone truly unique. It uses four front-cameras for what the company calls "dynamic perspective" allowing you to see a 3D view of the image you are seeing or the interface. It works on the phone's wallpaper, lockscreen, browser and inside games as well.
Then there's the audio and visual recognition app Firefly which can identify, products, songs, TV Shows, art, pretty much everything using the rear camera.
