XOLO Q1000 Opus gets Android 4.4.2 KitKat update
XOLO Q1000 Opus has just received its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update becoming the first phone from an Indian manufacturer to get KitKat update and the cheapest one at that in the world. It was launched in December with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The phone has received several minor updates including an update to fix its camera and heating issues. The update needs to be downloaded from XOLO's website, its now available OTA. We also reviewed the phone, you can read our review here.
You therefore need to manually download the 294 MB update. The instructions on how to install the update is available at the download link. Android 4.4.2 KitKat will bring several enhancements including a new smart dialer as well as status bar, new color emoji as well as enhanced security and performance.
