Android 6.0 Marshmallow update certified for the Sony Xperia Z5

The Sony Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z4 may get updated to Android Marshmallow as soon as next month, atleast in Japan. Documents obtained from WiFi Alliance (WiFi certification database) say that both the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z4 (exclusive to Japan) have received their certification from the body running Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Japan's NTT Docomo variant of the Xperia Z5 Premium has also made it to the list. Although at present there is no word as to when the official rollout will begin, but we can safely say that Marshmallow updates for these Xperia devices will start rolling out within a few weeks.
