Samsung mobile design chief replaced over lukewarm response to the Galaxy S5
Although the Galaxy series has been evolving at a fast pace, the consumer response to the Galaxy S5 has been less than stellar. Chang Dong-hoon, formerly Head of Mobile Design tendered his resignation in last week, Samsung has accepted the resignation and has replaced him by his VP, Lee Min-hoyuk. Reuters also reports that Lee had substantial input in the design of the Galaxy Series and that's where he picked up his "Midas" nickname.
The Galaxy S5 overall is a great smartphone, probably the best you can buy today but with no design flair , the new "band-aid" backcover and faux metal strips just don't add up to feeling like a premium device. Let's see what Lee has to say with the nest Galaxy.
