Vivo X Fold5 Launching in India soon with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Triple 50MP Cameras, 6000mAh Battery

Vivo has begun teasing the upcoming launch of its latest flagship Foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold5 in India, shortly after its debut in China. This follows the company’s recent teaser for the India launch of the vivo X200 FE.

The X Fold5 boasts IPX8 and IPX9 ratings for water resistance, IP5X for dust resistance, and is rated to withstand temperatures as low as –20°C. It will be equipped with a 6000mAh dual-cell battery, supporting 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. According to Vivo, the Carbon Fiber Support Hinge has been tested for durability with up to 600,000 folds.

Key highlights include a Shortcut Button for quick app access and function activation. The device is impressively slim, measuring 9.2mm when folded, 4.3mm when unfolded, and weighing just 217g.

Under the hood, the X Fold5 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It features a triple 50MP camera setup: a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens powered by the Sony IMX882 sensor. It also includes 20MP selfie cameras on both the inner and outer screens.

The vivo X Fold5 will be available for purchase via Flipkart and the vivo India online store following its launch. More details, including the official launch date, are expected to be announced soon.
