Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 launched Globally with 7.6-inch foldable and 6.3-inch outer 1-120Hz AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy
Samsung has launched its latest next-generation foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 at the Unpacked event in Paris, as promised. It features a 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which is now 48% brighter, reaching up to 2600 nits. It still includes the 4MP Under Display Camera (UDC).
The external display is a slightly larger 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 22.1:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy in the Z Fold 5 has been upgraded to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in the Z Fold 6. Samsung states that the new phone has a vapor chamber 1.6 times larger than its predecessor. The camera setup remains the same with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom and 30X space zoom.
Software and AI Features -
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 and will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, aligning with the S24 series. The phone includes Galaxy AI features such as Note Assist, PDF overlay translation in Notes, Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, AI-powered ProVisual Engine, Photo Assist, Portrait Studio, and more.
The phone's dual rail hinge structure is reinforced by a strengthened folding edge, distributing external impacts more effectively. It is now thinner, measuring 12.1mm when folded and just 5.6mm when unfolded, and lighter at 239 grams, 14 grams less than the previous model.
Enhanced layers on the main screen help improve the crease while maintaining strength. The device is built with improved Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Additionally, it boasts an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance, an upgrade from the IPX8 rating of its predecessors.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes in Silver Shadow, Pink, and Navy colours, and online-exclusive Crafted Black, and White colours. It will be available from July 24th in select countries, and the pre-order has started now.
