Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched Globally with 6.7-inch FHD+ 1-120Hz AMOLED display, 3.4-inch cover display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy
Samsung has launched its next-generation flip smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at its Unpacked event in Paris along with Galaxy Z Fold6, as promised. It retains the 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex main display with a 22:9 aspect ratio and a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, but the screen is now 48% brighter, reaching up to 2600 nits.
The cover screen remains a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy found in the Z Flip 5 has been upgraded to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in the Z Flip 6. Additionally, for the first time, Samsung has introduced vapor chamber cooling in a flip phone. The phone now features a new 50MP sensor, while still including a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP front camera.
Software and AI Features -
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 and will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, aligning with the S24 series. It includes Galaxy AI features such as Note Assist, Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, AI-powered ProVisual Engine, Photo Assist, Portrait Studio, and more.
The dual rail hinge structure has been reinforced with a strengthened folding edge to better distribute external impacts. The phone is now thinner when folded, measuring 14.9mm, though its thickness when unfolded and its weight remain the same as the Flip 5.
Samsung has added enhanced layers on the main screen to improve the crease while maintaining strength. The phone is built with upgraded Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also boasts an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance, an improvement from the IPX8 rating of previous models. The battery capacity has been increased to 4000mAh, up from 3700mAh in the predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue, and Mint colours and there are online-exclusive Crafted Black, White, and Peach. It will be available from July 24th in select countries, and the pre-order has started now.
