Samsung Galaxy Note5 with 5.7-inch quad-HD display, Exynos 7420, 4GB RAM launched in India priced at Rs. 53900
Samsung Galaxy Note5 was launched in India today at an event in New Delhi. It follows in the same design language as the Galaxy S6 but with a curved back. The Galaxy Note5 features a 5.7-inch quad-HD Super AMOLED display with narrow bezels, its thinner and lighter than the Note 4.
Samsung's own Exynos 7420 octa-core processor takes care of running the workhorse with 4GB RAM and either 32/64 GB inbuilt non-expandable storage. There's a redesigned S-Pen as well which looks more metal than plastic. It now has a clicker at one-end to easily get it out of the Note5. Samsung has also added the ability to take notes with the new S-Pen even when the display is off.
The Galaxy Note 5 retains the same 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture as the Galaxy S6, including Optical Image Stabilization, real-time HDR and 4K Recording alongwith a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. Much hasn't changed in terms of overall specs from the Galaxy S6 edge+. They are on the same footing apart from the front-curved display on the edge+.
On the connectivity front you have 4G LTE support, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC. Samsung has also packed a 3000 mAh battery on the Galaxy Note5 which can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 90 minutes with the included USB wall-charger or in 120 minutes with the new fast wireless charger. The Galaxy Note 5 also comes with enterprise grade security using the KNOX framework and suite of apps.
