Samsung Galaxy Note 4 gets Android Marshmallow update in India
Samsung has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 4 in India. According to several reports, the OTA update weighing in at about 1.3GB brings all the Marshmallow goodness to the non-edge Galaxy Note 4.
Some users have also said that the screen-off memo feature has made it to the final marshmallow build on the Galaxy Note 4. This update for the international variant bodes well for users in the US as well.
The new Marshmallow update appears to be rolling out in India, Poland, Turkey as well as in some parts of US as an OTA update. With the update you will get the new polished TouchWiz interface with muted colors but still all of the functionality that you are used to with the S Pen. Then there's better battery-life in store for you as well with Doze mode in Android marshmallow alongwith the Ultra Power saving mode from Samsung.
Since, this is an OTA update, you would not loose any data, files or images, just download the update over WiFi and hit the install button. But do remember to keep the battery charged above 50%. If you haven't received the update yet, you can have a look at Settings -> About phone -> Software update or just wait for the update notification to arrive.
