Samsung Galaxy A16 5G listing on Geekbench Revealing Dimensity 6300 SoC, 4GB RAM, Android 14
Samsung is preparing to launch its next mid-range A series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G global version, which succeeded last year’s Galaxy A15 5G, which has appeared in a Geekbench 6 listing under the model number SM-A166E.
This follows the recent appearance of the US model, SM-A166P, which has surfaced on Sprint. The listing reveals that the phone will feature a Dimensity 6300 SoC, an upgrade from the Dimensity 6100+ chip in its predecessor. The Geekbench listing also shows that the phone will run Android 14 and come with 4GB of RAM, though 6GB and 8GB variants are anticipated, as these configurations are available for the US model.
According to earlier rumours, the device is expected to have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It is also expected to retain the 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is expected to be launched sometime in Q4 2024.
