Motorola Moto X Force launching in India soon
Motorola India has begun teasing the launch of its in-destructible Moto X Force in India with #MotoFaceOff, which is not trending on Twitter. Well, in-destructible is a bit of an exaggeration but it does come with a rugged build and a shatterproof 5.4-inch Quad-HD plastic-OLED display.
Motorola is backing the claim of the shatter-proof display with a 4-year warranty against serious damage to the display in the US where the Moto X Force is exclusive to Verizon as the Droid Turbo 2. The company has been working on this display for the last 5 years. Apart from the plastic-OLED display which we have also seen on the G-FLEX series from LG, Motorola has added a dual-touch layer so even if one layer fails it won't hamper touch response.
You can read about the detailed specifications here. But just to get some key ones out of the way, the Moto X Force runs on the Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 32/64 GB onboard storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. It has a 21MP rear camera with PDAF and a 5MP front-camera for wide-angle selfies.
Motorola has added a generous 3760 mAh battery here and connectivity options include dual-SIM support, dual-band WiFi, GPS, FM Radio and NFC.
At present there is no word on a launch date or pricing but that its coming soon. If we go by international pricing cues, then the Moto X Force in India would be priced around Rs. 42,000. We will be keeping a lookout for this one.
