Moto X Pure Edition Android Marshmallow soak test begins in the US

Although the Moto X Style has already started getting Android Marshmallow update in India, its US counterpart the Moto X Pure Edition has yet to get tasty new update. Worry not, Motorola has begun soak test for Marshmallow update.

The Moto X Pure Edition XT1575 was launched running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will now be getting its Android 6.0 update over-the-air. The OTA update weighs in at about 653MB and will be coming to active members of the Motorola support forum.

Generally Motorola takes a couple of weeks after soak tests to iron out any bugs and begin mass rollout. So you can expect the Moto X Pure Edition to get Marshmallow update in the US by the end of 2015. There will be lot of new things to play with when you get the update including enhanced sleep management with Doze mode, more granular permission management as well as better performance and new animations alongwith Google Now on Tap support.
